HOW TO Fix Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2019 13.0.1 From Crashing at Startup Other Ok, so I spent a few hours last week trying to solve this issue with no luck on finding an answer anywhere on here or any other forum on the internet. One of the most frequent remedies to crashes that Adobe recommends is resetting your Premiere Pro preferences. (Sometimes referred to as 'trashing' your preferences.) This will reset your preferences back to the factory defaults. To do this, just hold Alt when you click to launch Premiere Pro. (Hold Option for Mac.) This will open a popup. Crash when running a film project with multiple audio effects. Effect Controls Panel crashes randomly. The control points of curves cannot be selected and adjusted. In a locked project panel, double click opens importer dialog. Crash occurs on zooming video or image in program monitior to 400% and scrolling to the left on Mac OS. Premier Pro Crashing/Shutting down However, since the latest update, reports have been coming in from users where they reported an increase in the crashing or random shutting down of the application. The issue persisted before but after the update, it started occurring for everyone. Crash when running a film project with multiple audio effects. Effect Controls Panel crashes randomly. In some instances, after you update Premiere Pro or Adobe Media Encoder to the latest version 12.1 and try to launch, the application crashes. Splash screen appears and then disappears without any error message.

Adobe recommends you to try the Option 1 to resolve your crash issue. If the issue persists, try using other options listed in this page.

Note:

Do not delete the folders. Ensure that you have taken the backup first before deleting any folder.

Update to the latest version of Adobe Premiere Pro 12.1.1 or Adobe Media Encoder 12.1.1 from the Creative Cloud desktop app. Updating provides a fix for launch issues caused by unsupported Type 1 Font.

In the Creative Cloud desktop app, click Updates from the Apps tab. To install the latest versions of apps on your computer, click Update All or 7z file extension mac. Update. Preferences and settings are migrated over to the new version, and the previous versions of the apps are uninstalled.
